Backend Developer - Battery Digital Innovation

About the Role
To contribute to the design, development, and implementation of backend services and APIs for web applications and software solutions. The Backend Developer will work across the technology stack primarily using Node.js for server-side development and AWS cloud services for infrastructure and deployment. The role involves building scalable, secure, and maintainable backend systems and collaborating closely with frontend developers, DevOps, and product teams throughout the product lifecycle from development to deployment and ongoing improvements.
Key Responsibilites
• Contribute to the development of new features and enhancements for our web platform and back-end systems, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
• Architect and implement robust back-end services, APIs, and server-side logic.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI designers and product managers, to deliver exceptional user experiences.
• Conduct code reviews across back-end codebases.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues to optimize application performance.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our tech stack.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment and testing processes.
• Manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.
• Mentor junior developers, providing guidance and support in their professional growth.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Graduated from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 engineering college/university is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in back-end development with a strong focus on modern web technologies.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
