Innovation Manager

About the Role


We are seeking a highly motivated Innovation Manager to support our project development and networking activities. The role includes coordinating proposals, managing strategic collaborations, and ensuring the successful implementation of projects. The candidate will also play a key role in leading projects, managing budgets, and allocating resources to ensure efficient and effective project execution. This is a dynamic opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects in the field of sustainable innovation, with a focus on renewable energy solutions, European, and international partnerships.

Key Responsibilites


• Support the preparation of funding proposals, including the creation of work packages, Business Model Canvas (BMC), and project budgets.
• Identify new opportunities and promote MEAtec’s participation in European and local initiatives.
• Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify funding opportunities and align proposals with the priorities of funding bodies.
• Collaborate with working groups and members to discuss opportunities and develop project concepts.
• Manage networking activities and engage with academics, university partners, TTO offices, and national and international agencies.
• Support strategic communication and event management to strengthen partnerships and visibility.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Implement and manage communication, dissemination, replication, and exploitation activities within projects.
• Oversee the production of deliverables and contribute to activity reports for funding bodies.
• Manage recruitment activities related to tenders and projects.
• Develop and implement workforce planning strategies to meet current and future project demands.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within project teams.
• Monitor team performance and ensure alignment with project milestones and organizational goals.

Qualifications


• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Foreign Language and Literature, or a related field is required. A Master’s or PhD degree in a relevant area is highly preferred.
• Proven experience in preparing and drafting proposals for programs like Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe, EUREKA, TEYDEB, and ARDEB.
• Documented experience in EU collaborations in science, technology, and innovation.
• Strong understanding and interest in sustainable innovation, particularly in Circularity, Energy Storage, Renewable Energy Solutions, and E-Mobility.
• Independent, responsible, and highly organized with excellent multitasking abilities.
• Demonstrated experience in strategic communication and event management.
• Self-starter with a proactive attitude.
• Full proficiency in English with excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills.
