Software Test Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Software Test Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our automotive embedded software systems. In this role, you will design, implement, and execute test plans and test cases for embedded control units, working closely with software developers, systems engineers, and validation teams. Your work will directly contribute to the safety, performance, and compliance of our automotive solutions.
Key Responsibilites
• Development, implementation and documentation of software tests in projects.
• Determination of test metrics and creation of test reports including error messages.
• Reviews of design documents and test specifications
• Maintenance and further development of existing test automations.
• Close cooperation with other areas of electronics development, especially software development and system design.
Qualifications
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent subjects.
• Knowledge of software testing and test automation (e.g. ISTQB).
• Good programming skills in C/C++ and in at least one scripting language (e.g. Python)
• Basic knowledge in the field of requirements engineering.
• Experience in hardware development.
• Creative and flexible thinking when applying test methods.
• High motivation and result-oriented action as well as interdisciplinary thinking.
• Experience in the field of measurement technology and HiL testing desirable.
